The New Family Pictures

This has been a crazy 2 months. We have gone on vacation to Nevada to see our families in August. Two weeks after we got home we had to evacuate because of hurricanes. This is a new phenomenon in our family. We've always had monsoon season, but never hurricanes.

We had to go back to Nevada to escape or evacuate. We got home on Zach's birthday. He had his birthday party with our family at Chuck E. Cheese. Everyone had a great time.

Maddy is growing like a weed. At her last check up she weighed 12 lbs. 13.6 oz. and was 23.76" long. That makes 3" growth and 3 lb 12.6 oz in 3 months. She loves to coo and awe with everyone who holds her. Maddy smiles almost all of the time. The only time she is not happy is in the car seat. Then she becomes agited and screams the majority of the time. Nothing helps. She is getting better at it and becoming better at being calm in a car seat.

To think, 6 months ago life was so different. We were told to prepare for a 2-3 year wait. We felt our child was coming and our life would be changed quickly. Those are the same feelings we had when Zach came into our family.
