Alexandria Zoo
We planned our trip to see all of the family back in Nevada and Utah for a few weeks in the summer. Everyone is excited to find out the whole family is coming (that includes Matt.) He generally has been left at the Post because of work duties. The tickets are bought and we’re ready to go…yet it won’t be for a few months.
We went to the Alexandria Zoo with Zach Saturday. It was our first time there and we struggled to find it. Once we got there-it was packed! We didn’t realize it was a planned event “Planet Day”. They had clubs, schools, Home Depot and other various places there for the kids. Zach enjoyed himself! He even wanted to take a picture with a police officer that was sitting on a bench and a BIG gecko (in costume).
It was enjoyable to watch his face light up when he got to see the different animals, especially the monkeys. I think it’s because Mommy can make monkey calls and he loves hearing it. (One of my very deep, dark, hidden talents that I don’t share with anyone…very often. Because you have to take it outside to do to make the correct call.)

Zach had a great day yesterday. He has a young "girl" friend who invited him to Chuck E. Cheese Pizza for her birthday. He got to dance around the party room; eat pizza; sit on Chuck E.'s lap; and play lots of games with Daddy.
This is his "happy face." (Grandpa taught him how to smile BIG for the camera.)
Meeting Chuck E. with his "girl" friend and her Mom.
He got to hug him. He wouldn't let go of him. :o)

As you can see it has been a great couple of weeks back home with the family for our family. We were able to spend some time with our families.
We watched my nephew get baptized. Zach played with his cousins in dirt; on the water slide in his uncle's backyard; ride ATV's with Grandpa (Stacy's Dad-pic on right); met a new cousin-Ginger; had 2 slumber parties at each grand parent's home; and got as muddy, dirty, as can be.
We returned last night after an exhausting day of travel by plane and car. We got our letter from LDS Family Services we are approved and ready to be parents again. We will also be helping with Families Supporting Adoption in our home state to help spread the word out adoption..
Here are his Grand Parents in the pictures. (Left is Matt'sand right is Stacy's.)
