Happy Mother's Day

To my Mom...

We always have had the debate to why you were chosen to be my Mom. It is because I chose you! I love you!!

To our Birth Mother's...

Thank you for making me a mother.

I wanted to wish all of the mothers who have touched my life for good a fantastic Mother's Day!

It's Been a While

It's Vacation Time!!

Our family at the North Carolina Border...

Mom and I at Vicksburg, MS

Here we are at Vicksburg, MS where the 2nd largest fatality took place. We had a great time taking the driving tour around (about 16 miles) and stopping in at the Visitors Center. Zach was able to buy an oldtime instrument. All the "mature" adults (older ones) asked me what the heck I was doing buying him something that makes noise. They never realized I played a musical instrument and I welcome the noise it brings.

Zach attempting to pull the cannon... He doesn't realize it's cemented down!

The big joke for birthdays in our home with my siblings were who could bring the loudest toy. Now we are reaping the benefits from all of the times I bought noise making toys. What my brothers don't realize is---I like them!

Swinging at Great-Grandma's Home

While we were on vacation in NV and UT I was able to travel up north to see my Grandma. What a treat it was to visit with her and for her to see the kids. She normally saw Zach about every 4 to 5 months. Now its more like once a year since we moved back east. She got to see Maddy for the second time and was thrilled. We were also able to update her memory book about her life. I'm trying to get this together so when she does pass away there will be some memories of her favorites straight from her.

I have applied to teach back home and hopefully that will pan out. They don't accept new hires until late May so all the transfers are done.

My Parents flew out with us to sight see across the southeastern portion of the country. It was a whirlwind trip taking us from Louisiana clear to North Carolina back down through Georgia and back home.

They were able to eat the best BBQ around Memphis!

Here is Mom and Dad seeing the Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville, TN.
